Job Description

Description

Social Media Manager – Serenity Healthcare

Location: Atlanta, GA (Sandy Springs) | In-office Team: Marketing Reports to: VP of Marketing Type: Full-time, exempt

About the role:

Serenity Healthcare is looking for a Social Media Manager to own and grow our social presence across key platforms.

This is a hands-on role for someone who understands how to turn ideas into content that earns attention, builds trust and helps people understand the care Serenity provides.

You will own the day-to-day social media program, from content planning and creation through publishing, community management, influencer partnerships, reporting and optimization. You’ll work closely with the broader marketing team to bring campaigns, patient education, provider expertise, company stories and brand initiatives to life across social.

This is not a role for someone who only schedules posts from a content calendar. We’re looking for someone who can spot a strong idea, shape the story, create the content, publish it and learn from the results.

Because Serenity operates in healthcare, this role also requires good judgment. The best candidate will know how to create engaging content while handling sensitive topics with care and maintaining the right level of professionalism and compliance.

What you'll own:

Social Media Strategy Build and manage Serenity’s organic social strategy across platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube and other relevant channels.

Content Planning Own the social content calendar and develop a consistent mix of educational, brand, culture, thought leadership and campaign-driven content.

Content Creation Create social-first content including posts, short-form video, graphics, carousels, interviews, behind-the-scenes content and other formats designed for each platform.

Video & Short-Form Content Help build a stronger video presence across platforms such as Instagram Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts. Work with internal teams, clinicians and leadership to turn expertise and stories into compelling short-form content.

Influencer & Creator PartnershipsIdentify, evaluate and build relationships with influencers and creators who align with Serenity’s brand and audiences. Manage outreach, campaign briefs, content approvals, timelines and ongoing communication while ensuring partnerships are authentic, compliant and aligned with campaign objectives.

Track influencer and creator performance across reach, engagement, traffic and other relevant outcomes, and use those insights to improve future partnerships.

Community Management Monitor comments, messages and conversations around the brand. Engage appropriately, escalate sensitive issues when needed and help maintain a professional and responsive presence.

Brand Voice Help define and maintain a consistent Serenity voice across social media while adapting content appropriately for different audiences and platforms.

Campaign Support Partner with the broader marketing team to extend campaigns across social, including clinic launches, awareness initiatives, recruitment campaigns, events and other marketing programs.

Employee & Leadership Content Work with clinicians, executives and team members to develop thought leadership and social content that highlights the people behind Serenity.

Analytics & Optimization Track performance across channels and use data to understand what is working. Report on reach, engagement, audience growth, traffic and other meaningful metrics, then use those insights to improve future content.

Trend Monitoring Stay current on platform trends, formats, algorithm changes, creators and emerging opportunities without chasing trends that do not fit the brand.

Healthcare & CompliancePartner with marketing, privacy and legal teams to ensure social content and creator partnerships are appropriate for a healthcare environment and that patient privacy is always protected.

Who we're looking for:

We care less about whether you have followed a traditional social media career path and more about whether you can show us great content you have created and the results it produced.

You should be able to walk us through social accounts, campaigns, influencer partnerships or pieces of content you have personally worked on and explain what you did, why you did it and what happened afterward.

You’ll likely bring:

• 5+ years of experience managing social media for a brand, agency or organization • A strong portfolio of social content you have personally created or managed • Experience managing platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok and YouTube • Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to adapt tone by platform • Experience creating short-form video and social-first content • Experience identifying, recruiting or managing influencers and creators • The ability to evaluate creators based on audience fit and performance, not just follower count • A good eye for design, composition and visual storytelling • Comfort working behind the camera and directing others on camera • Experience using social scheduling and analytics tools • The ability to manage a content calendar while also reacting quickly to timely opportunities • Strong attention to detail and good judgment • The ability to work cross-functionally while still owning your work from concept through execution

Nice to have:

Experience with any of the following is a plus, but none are required:

Healthcare or mental health • Multi-location brands • Paid social • Influencer marketing platforms • Creator contracting and campaign management • Adobe Creative Cloud • Canva • CapCut • Premiere Pro • Social listening tools • Employer branding • Executive thought leadership

What success looks like:

First 30 days Understand Serenity’s brand, audience, social channels and existing content. Audit what is working, identify gaps and build a clear content plan for each platform. Begin identifying creators and influencers who could be a strong fit for the brand.

First 90 days Establish a consistent publishing cadence, improve the quality and variety of social content, increase short-form video output, launch or expand our creator partnerships, and implement clear reporting around social performance.

Over your first year Build a recognizable and trusted social presence for Serenity, grow meaningful engagement and audience reach, establish a repeatable influencer and creator program, create a scalable content engine and make social media a stronger part of how Serenity builds awareness, trust and connection with patients and communities.

Benefits include:

• Medical, dental and vision coverage • 401(k) with company match • Paid time off • Paid holidays

WHY SERENITY

This is an opportunity to shape the social presence of a growing healthcare organization and build a content and creator program with real visibility across the company.

You’ll have the freedom to test ideas, develop creator partnerships, experiment with new formats and help define how Serenity shows up online, while working closely with a marketing team focused on growth and innovation.

This is a full-time, in-office position based in Sandy Springs, GA, reporting directly to Kurt Abrahams, VP of Marketing.

Serenity Healthcare is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of background checks and drug screening.
