Social Media Marketing Specialist

About us Sunlarus Energy installs residential solar in Florida and Illinois. Our subscription model means homeowners get solar with no system purchase and no loan. We own and maintain the system. We're a small, fast-moving team, and this role has real room to shape how we show up publicly.

The role We're hiring our first dedicated social media marketer. The core job is simple to state and hard to do well: build an audience on social and turn it into qualified traffic to sunlarusenergy.com. You'll own the content calendar, the posting, the community management, and the reporting that tells us what's actually working.

What you'll do

• Own day-to-day publishing across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn — Meta is our primary paid engine, TikTok and YouTube Shorts carry organic top-of-funnel, and LinkedIn serves partner recruiting and employer branding rather than homeowner conversion
• Produce the content yourself: shoot and edit short-form video at install sites, cut customer testimonials, design simple graphics
• Write copy that explains our subscription model clearly, since most homeowners have only heard about buying or financing panels
• Build separate content tracks for our two markets: Florida (bill savings, storm season, no battery) and Illinois (battery included, state incentives, winter performance)
• Drive traffic to specific landing pages and track it with UTM tags and Google Analytics
• Manage comments and DMs, and route real inquiries to the sales team fast
• Run and optimize paid social campaigns within an assigned budget
• Report monthly on reach, engagement, sessions driven, and leads generated

What success looks like

• Funnel: content → FL/IL landing page → pre-qualified intake form → Sales contact
• First 90 days: consistent posting cadence live across all channels, tracking properly instrumented, baseline metrics established
• Ongoing: month-over-month growth in social-referred website sessions and in form fills from that traffic
• Make the tracking match the metric: set the GA4 conversion goal to the form-submission event, not a session or pageview

What we're looking for

• 2+ years running social media for a business, with examples of accounts you grew
• You can shoot and edit video on your phone and in Premiere, CapCut, or similar. This is a hands-on production role, not a strategy-only role
• Comfort with Google Analytics and native platform analytics; you can tell us why a number moved
• Strong writer. Clear, plain, no jargon
• Willing to be on job sites in the Orlando area to capture footage
• Valid driver's license

Nice to have

• Solar, home services, or home improvement marketing experience
• Paid social buying experience (Meta Ads Manager)
• Basic Canva or Adobe design skills
• Email marketing or landing page experience
