Job Description

Required Certifications
- LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, or Licensed Psychologist
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) – can be completed onsite during orientation
Work Schedule
- Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM
- Sunday: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Saturday and Monday off
Key Responsibilities
- Assess the level of care for patients dealing with depression, psychosis, substance use, and other significant mental illnesses.
- Provide biopsychosocial assessments, crisis intervention, and short-term counseling.
- Link patients with resources and plan transitions of care for patients and their families/significant others of all ages, in any patient care setting.
- Offer psycho-education and facilitate support groups as needed.
- Consult on psychosocial aspects of care as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team.
- Serve as a liaison to community programs and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team on discharge planning.
- Support patients in adjusting to illness and facilitate goals of care conversations with patients and families.
- May provide education to staff and other hospital departments and participate on committees.
