Job Description

Serving with Compassion, Creativity, and Consistency. $65,000-80,000 LCSW - $72,000-$80,000 All other licenses - $65,000-$72,000 Limited Permit - $61,000-$65,000 Full Time and Part Time opportunities available Two options available: 1 assigned dorm, 1 floater for campus dorms Position Summary: The Social Worker collaborates with the program team to ensure a safe, therapeutic, and nurturing environment. Providing support to the supervisor of the program, childcare workers, relief workers, and Family Engagement Coordinators as needed. Effectively communicates information between units, shifts, parents, probation, family court, and the Department of Social Services. The Social Worker will be responsible for guiding and directing the children into care, participating in the assessment of the progress and problems of each youth. The Social Worker will prepare youth for successful living within societal norms, toward improved family relationships, reunification with family, or independent living. The Social Worker will promote family engagement in treatment and maximize parental decision making while minimizing participation in treatment goals. Responsibilities: Work collaboratively with staff, unit supervisors, and family engagement coordinator in monitoring and assessing issues related to program functioning. i.e.: routines, resident concerns, clinical support when needed, and general issues involving staff when necessary Provide appropriate comprehensive case work interventions including case planning, case notes, and assessments. Establish and maintain regular contact with children and families. Provide individual, family, group counseling, and crisis intervention. Continually evaluate the strengths and needs of children and families to provide appropriate intervention planning. Initiate, develop and implement valid, innovative best practices consistent with progressive trends, directions and research Attend (and assist as needed) in all required trainings, supervisions, and meetings Complete required reports and all documentation in a timely mannerfor 29i Maintaingood relationships through collaboration and advocacy on client's behalf with DSS, community agencies, schools, program staff and other service providers. Requirements Education: Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field required.
