Social Worker MSW: Healthy Steps BHIP

Please note this is a 100% grant-funded position.

Montefiore Medical Center's Pediatric Behavioral Health Integration Program (BHIP) is recruiting LMSWs and LCSWs for full-time positions in its HealthySteps program (www.healthysteps.org) and Child-Adolescent Psychology and Social Work (CAPS) programs.

HealthySteps is a mental health promotion program that provides developmental and behavioral support and guidance to families with children aged 0-5 years, through an attachment- and trauma-informed lens. BHIP offers evidence based behavioral health interventions for Montefiore patients across the lifespan.

BHIP places behavioral health clinicians into primary care pediatric clinics across Bronx and Westchester Counties. By partnering with pediatric primary care, we can provide every child and family with services that support social, emotional, and cognitive skills important to healthy development.

Requirements

• LMSW or LCSW
• Training and experience with evidence-based behavioral health interventions to children and adolescents of all ages
• Experience working in a medical setting or with health professionals
• Experience assessing the growth and development of infants and young children
• Experience working with parents and families, including assessment of parent-child relationships and family systems
• Experience/training providing evidence based behavioral health services

Hours Monday to Friday 830A - 500P

Associates are eligible to apply for a lateral transfer after completion of one (1) year of service in their present position, with the following exception: an Associate who has received a written warning is not eligible for a transfer/promotion prior to six (6) months from date of issuance; an Associate who has been suspended is not eligible for transfer/promotion prior to one (1) year from date of suspension. Part-time Associates who have completed their probationary period can move to full-time vacancies within their department provided such movement will not unreasonably reduce the operational efficiency of that department. Probationary period is three (3) months for full-time employees, and four (4) months for part-time employees who works more than 3/5 of the normal workweek.
