May have an advanced education 30 month contract Interview: Virtual Interview Work model: 50% telecommuting, 50% Office per week, Albany, NY --- Project Description --- The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, customizing, and maintaining our core operational workflow and automation systems specifically Jira, Confluence, and associated service management, application integration, and support services tools to support our organization's business operations and process automation needs. --- Day-to-Day Tasks --- 1. Customization and Configuration: Customize JIRA and Confluence to meet the specific needs of our organization, including creating JIRA projects/queries/reports, configuring workflows and custom fields, issue types, and permission schemes. 2. Plugin Development: Develop custom plugins and extensions for JIRA and Confluence to enhance functionality and meet business requirements. 3. Integration: Integrate JIRA and Confluence with other software and systems, such as version control systems, DevOps continuous integration(CI) tools, and third-party applications. utilize tools or write ETL scripts to import data from external systems 4. User Training and Support: Provide training and support to users to ensure they can effectively use JIRA and Confluence for project management, issue tracking, and collaboration. 5. Documentation: Maintain documentation for JIRA and Confluence configurations, customizations, and integrations. 6. Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues and errors within JIRA and Confluence, working closely with the IT and support teams. 7. Performance Optimization: Monitor the performance of JIRA and Confluence and implement optimizations as needed to ensure system stability and efficiency. 8. Security and Compliance: Ensure that JIRA and Confluence are configured and maintained in accordance with security and compliance standards and also, Implement IDP and SSO solutions using knowledge of LDAP/SAML --- Required Qualifications --- " 60 Months Experience developing in Atlassian Jira " 36 Months Experience in Atlassian Confluence " 36 Months Experience in DevOps Methodologies " 60 Months Experience in troubleshooting Atlassian Jira " 60 Months Experience in user and access management in Atlassian Jira " 60 Months Experience in Atlassian Jira performance monitoring and improvement " 60 months of experience authoring and maintaining system technical documentation. Eligible experience includes mapping business workflows, documenting system integrations and automation rules, and creating administrator runbooks, technical specifications, and user-facing guides within a centralized knowledge base (such as Confluence).
