Job Description

Job Title: Software Development Engineer 3 Location: Portland , OR Salary Range: $70/hr to $75/hr on W2 Introduction

Join our team in Portland, OR, as a key contributor in delivering cutting-edge technology solutions. We are looking for a skilled professional to enhance our team with expertise in software development and system design.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must-have qualifications that candidates must meet to be considered:

Applicants must be able to work directly for our company on a W2 basis.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Experience with the full software development lifecycle, including analysis, requirements gathering, development, testing, and delivery.
Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving system issues.
Knowledge of computer hardware and software, with a focus on systems development software such as SQL and VisualBasic.
Experience with Linux kernel subsystems and driver development (5 years).
Server SoC experience (5 years).
Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a relevant field.
5-7 years of professional experience in software development.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

Nice-to-have skills but are not required:

Experience in developing operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software.
Basic mentoring skills to provide support and constructive feedback.
Experience working as part of a project team to coordinate database development.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Key tasks and expectations for the role include:

Modifying existing databases and database management systems.
Writing and coding logical and physical database descriptions.
Coordinating with project teams to determine project scope and limitations.
Reviewing project requests to estimate time and cost for project completion.
