Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Early Career Software Engineer. In this role, you will integrate system and software designs into a unified product, maintain end to end traceability, and contribute to test equipment development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, development and testing of embedded and windows software products utilized in ground/test equipment.
  • Perform software engineering lifecycle following the program Software Development Plan (SDP) to include requirements, analysis, development, unit test, integration and support to formal test and delivery.
  • Participate in technical reviews and audits of software products.

The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of C, C++ development and Software Configuration Management

(SCM) tools such as GitLab and an

understanding of Agile methodology using JIRA

tools.

Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related degree.

Experience in C/C++ development.

Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Desired Skills:

Active Secret Clearance.

Proficient in Software Configuration Management

(SCM) tools such as GitLab and an

understanding of Agile methodology using JIRA

tools.

Practical knowledge of microcontroller programming and peripheral integration obtained through coursework, an internship, or past job responsibilities.

Experience with requirements management

using tools such as DOORS.

Proficient in UML modeling using CAMEO or

similar tools.

Familiarity with embedded drivers, such as SPI,

CAN, USART, and the ability to read and follow

hardware schematics.

Knowledge of National Instruments products such as PXIe.

Knowledge National Instruments programming platforms such as Lab Windows/CVI, and Labview.

Experience with electronic test instruments,

including oscilloscopes, DMMs, logic analyzers,

and related equipment.

Strong team player with excellent

communication skills and the ability to work

collaboratively in a results-oriented environment.

Demonstrates a creative mindset and problem-

solving capabilities, with a proven ability to

follow established software methodologies and

processes.

Strong communication, interpersonal and

problem solving skills. Ability to work in a fast paced, collaborative team environment.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
