Job Summary:We are seeking a Journeyman Software Engineer specializing in AI/ML Engineering to support the development of applied artificial intelligence capabilities within a federal program. This role will focus on building, deploying, and operationalizing machine learning models while supporting MLOps practices and automated pipelines. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with model lifecycle management, CI/CD for ML, and production deployment of AI solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide AI/ML engineering support for applied AI features and capabilities.
- Build, train, evaluate, and deploy machine learning models.
- Develop and maintain ML CI/CD pipelines and model registries.
- Implement model monitoring, drift detection, and performance tracking.
- Maintain audit-ready model lineage, documentation, and reproducible training workflows.
- Produce model cards and supporting performance evidence.
- Collaborate with Agile teams and platform engineering teams to integrate AI capabilities.
- Support deployment across development, staging, and production environments.
Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
- 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in enterprise information technology.
- Hands-on experience developing and deploying machine learning models.
- Experience with MLOps tools, automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience working in cloud environments and containerized platforms.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and collaboration skills.
- AWS DevOps Engineer Certification
- CompTIA Security+ Certification
Preferred:
- Experience supporting DoD or federal programs.
- Experience with Kubernetes or container orchestration platforms.
- Experience with cloud-native ML services or platforms.
- Cloud ML certifications.
