Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

• Assists in leading architecture, design, development, and analyses of software systems.

• Partners with stakeholders to oversee translation of software requirements and models that meet customer, operational, and performance requirements.

• Assists in completion of software system-level analyses to identify risk, issues, and opportunities.

• Leads software team to complete code reviews ensuring alignment to requirements and standards.

• Oversees review of product and process for alignment with project plans and industry standards.

• Researches and oversees implementation of current and emerging software technologies, tools, and frameworks.

• Applies foundational Computer Science knowledge and object-oriented design and software patterns.

• Applies experience with space or satellite ground mission capabilities, products, domain, and customers.

• Supports hardware or software integration, emulation, and testing in a lab environment.

• Applies software development practices including test-driven development, agile software development, DevSecOps, and CI/CD management.

Requirements:

• Active Top Secret Security Clearance required to start.

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

• 10+ years of experience in foundational Computer Science knowledge and object-oriented design and software patterns.

• Experience with space or satellite ground mission capabilities, products, domain, and customers.

• Preferred: Bachelor's or above degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent experience.

• Preferred: Experience with one or more of Java, C++, Python, JS frameworks such as REACT, jQuery UI, or Open Layers, Spring Framework, Hibernate, RDBMS, MongoDB, REST, and OpenAPI.

• Preferred: Experience using dependency management and automation services such as Ivy, Maven, Gradle, Git, or Jenkins.

• Preferred: Experience using cloud-based infrastructure such as AWS or Azure.

• Preferred: Experience as Technical Lead Engineer, Software Lead, Software Architect, or Chief Engineer on a complex software development project or program.

• Preferred: Experience with large Database Management Systems requiring SQL for complex queries, stored procedures, triggers, and database design.
