Summary: 

• Assists in leading architecture, design, development, and analyses of software systems for space mission ground systems.

• Partners with stakeholders to oversee translation of software requirements and models that meet customer, operational, and performance requirements.

• Assists in completion of software system-level analyses to identify risk, issues, and opportunities.

• Leads software team to complete code reviews ensuring alignment to requirements and standards.

• Oversees review of product and process for alignment with project plans and industry standards.

• Researches and oversees implementation of current and emerging software technologies, tools, and frameworks.

• Works with full stack and embedded software development for ground space mission system.

• Supports hardware and software integration, emulation, and testing in lab environment.

• Applies object-oriented design and software patterns.

• Uses dependency management and automation services (Ivy, Maven, Gradle, Git, Jenkins) and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure).

Requirements:

• Active Top Secret US Security Clearance with ability to obtain SCI access post start.

• 10+ years of experience in foundational Computer Science knowledge and object-oriented design and software patterns.

• Experience with space or satellite ground mission capabilities, products, domain, or customers.

• Preferred: Bachelor’s or above degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field or equivalent experience.

• Preferred: Experience with Java, C++, Python, JS frameworks (REACT, jQuery UI, Open Layers), Spring Framework, Hibernate, RDBMS, MongoDB, REST, and OpenAPI.

• Preferred: Experience using dependency management and automation services (Ivy, Maven, Gradle, Git, Jenkins).

• Preferred: Experience using cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Azure).

• Preferred: Familiarity with test-driven development (TDD), agile software development, DevSecOps, and CI/CD management.

• Preferred: Experience with large Database Management Systems (DBMS) requiring proficiency in SQL (complex queries, stored procedures, triggers) and database design, plus ETL processes (SSIS) and data backup or recovery techniques.
