Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to hire a Software Engineer II with strong DevOps engineering expertise and hands-on Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) experience to support mission-critical banking applications. This is a 6-12+ month contract opportunity and will be hybrid in Buffalo, NY (onsite 4 days/week). This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services. What You'll Be Doing: Design, maintain, and support highly stable DevOps pipelines and cloud-based application environments across dev, test, UAT, and production with strict separation and access controls. Ensure environment parity and configuration consistency, actively managing configuration drift and release promotion processes to minimize risk and downtime. Support CIAM platforms and integrations used by external banking customers, including secure login, registration, MFA, account recovery, and lifecycle management. Implement and maintain secure authentication and authorization flows leveraging OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and MFA solutions in compliance with banking security standards. Partner with application teams to enable secure, automated CI/CD, prioritizing reliability, traceability, and rollback capabilities. Participate in operational support, incident response, and root cause analysis with a focus on customer impact and service resiliency. Adhere to and support audit, compliance, and risk management requirements, including change management, access reviews, logging, and monitoring. Collaborate closely with security, architecture, and compliance teams to ensure CIAM and DevOps practices align with enterprise and regulatory expectations. What You'll Need to Have: 3+ years of hands-on DevOps engineering experience supporting production applications in the banking or financial services industry. Strong understanding of operational rigor, including change control, audit readiness, segregation of duties, and regulated SDLC processes. Proven experience managing highly stable, segregated environments (dev, test, UAT, prod) with disciplined release promotion and environment governance. Demonstrated ability to maintain uptime, data integrity, and customer-facing stability in high-availability systems. Hands-on experience supporting Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) solutions in banking contexts, including: Secure authentication and authorization flows OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect (OIDC) Multi-factor authentication (MFA) Customer identity lifecycle management Integration with downstream banking and customer-facing systems Pay Range: $70-$74/hr Questions about any of our jobs?
