As a Software Engineer III on the Walmart Business (B2B) team, you will lead the design and development of scalable software solutions that serve business customers by collaborating with cross-functional teams including product management and user experience. You will troubleshoot complex issues across distributed B2B platform systems, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective resolutions to enhance system performance, reliability, and customer experience. This role involves managing project requirements, coding, testing, and ensuring timely delivery of features that solve real business customer pain points while mentoring small engineering groups. - Analyze and troubleshoot production and business issues by performing root cause analysis and developing effective solutions.
- Translate project requirements into technical solutions, conduct coding, unit testing, and ensure timely delivery of software components.
- Support users by addressing technical questions and guiding implementation strategies for new and enhanced systems.
- Lead small engineering teams by providing documentation, direction, and mentoring to ensure project success.
- Develop and maintain automated scripts for continuous integration and delivery processes.
- Monitor application performance, conduct maintenance, and implement telemetry features to ensure system reliability.
- Strong proficiency in object-oriented programming and coding languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, or C#, NodeJs, Typescript and ReactJs.
- Knowledge of Spring Boot, queuing systems (Kafka or similar), and database technologies including SQL and NoSQL
- Knowledge of agentic AI development, prompt engineering, and integration of AI capabilities into production systems
- Expertise in API design, platform development, and iterative incremental development methodologies.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis, debugging, and defect management to ensure high-quality solutions.
- Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes and automation scripting.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Demonstrated capability to mentor and guide small engineering teams effectively.
- Commitment to adhering to coding standards, security policies, and quality assurance practices.
