You will work across multiple domains, contributing to the development of scalable services that are critical to Walmart’s digital platforms. About The TeamAs part of the Health and Wellness Pharmacy group, you’ll be responsible for implementing and testing code change required for special business requirements. You’ll independently handle high impact, critical software/systems monitoring issues, troubleshoot business and production issues. As a member of the elite BOM Squad (aka Billing Order Management Team), you will be responsible for building the next-gen securable, scalable, automated, billable, pharmacy insurance claims system.What you’ll do:You have and can implement big ideas with a positive attitude. You want to be a part of the team to disrupt this industry and you have these main skills:- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs to support Walmart’s digital experiences.
- Collaborate with product managers, front-end engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver impactful features and solutions.
- Build scalable and reliable systems that handle large volumes of traffic and data.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code while following engineering best practices.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues in distributed systems across environments.
- Contribute to performance optimization, security improvements, and system resilience.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, Microservice architecture and design, and best practices around multithreading, networking, offline storage and performance tuning
- Proficiency in Java or Golang, Spring Boot, and experience working with distributed systems and teams.
- Ability to build products with focus on testability, someone who loves test coverage (well versed with Mockito and JUnit)
- Have proficient knowledge and experience with Kafka Queues, Cosmos DB, SQL
- Familiarity with GenAI/LLMs and related tooling ecosystem a plus.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the following: Build Manager (Maven or Gradle), Distributed Version Control (GIT), and Continuous Integration (Jenkins).
- Proficient skills in troubleshooting live applications and assessing performance bottlenecks of applications running on Linux
- A disciplined approach to development, code review, testing, documentation and code structure in a team environment.
- A constant desire to improve, learn more and take things to the next level and a passion for adopting the latest features in Kubernetes, Java, Azure SQL Server , Azure Cosmos, Kafka and Spring Boot.
