This job is with Encode, Inc a fully owned subsidiary of Lancesoft Job Title: Senior Associate, Software Engineering Job Location: Salt Lake City, UT Job Schedule: 9/80. Every other Friday off.Job Description: Client is currently seeking a software engineer with a background and experience in embedded real-time software development. The qualified candidate will have exciting, challenging, and rewarding opportunities to support existing systems and develop next-generation military communications.Essential Functions:•Contribute to the lifecycle of embedded real-time systems by designing, coding, testing, debugging, and updating developmental and fielded systems•Maintain and review requirements, design documentation, and source code•Collaborate with a cross-functional engineering teamQualifications:•Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance required;active clearance preferred•Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering preferred) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience•Proficient with object-oriented C++•Experience with embedded software designPreferred Additional Skills: Experience in one of more of the following areas below: Experience developing for Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS)•Experience troubleshooting on embedded targets•Experience with test frameworks•Familiarity with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review techniques•Exposure to signal processing, control systems, and networking•Exposure to drivers for hardware interfaces such as PCIe, 1553, RS232, SPI, I2C, FPGAs, and other unique hardware•Exposure to various operating systems including Linux, Unix, VxWorks, and Windows•Knowledge of protocols such as IP, UDP, TCP, EtherCAT, CAN, RTPS/DDS
