Software Engineering - Test Automation Co-Op (Fall 2026)

What will you do?

• Design, build, test, and maintain software test automation and internal tools to support development of our on-prem server appliance
• Contribute to the development of lvinspect, LineVision's internal tooling and framework for software test automation
• Integrate with internal and external APIs, cloud services, and relational databases
• Contribute to new system design and proof-of-concept exploration
• Be a valued member of a high-performing software engineering team by supporting team goals of continuous improvement and our culture of growth-mindset

Skills and experience required to succeed in this role

• Pursuing a BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related degree

• An interest in engineered testing and/or software automation

• Understanding of object-oriented and functional design principles, databases, distributed software design, and Agile methodologies for team software development

• Strong and disciplined approach to test-driven software development

• Initiative, creative problem-solving skills and team collaboration

• Desired experience and programming languages:

• Python & Javascript (required)

• Typescript/SQL/React/Node (nice to have)

• Experience working on web application front ends + RESTful API backends

• Cloud infrastructure familiarity; AWS (nice to have), Azure and/or Google Cloud

Work Schedule: The ideal candidate would be available for a minimum of 6 months, up to the full 8 month co-op term, working 40 hours a week. LineVision has a standard US holiday schedule, and up to a week of additional unpaid time off is permissible. Upon successful internship or co-op completion, you will be considered for a full-time position upon graduation.

Compensation: $25 per hour
