Software Product Manager

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Product Leadership

• Own product strategy and roadmap for the software product line, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives
• Set product vision, strategy, and direction for area of responsibility
• Make critical decisions regarding resource allocation, product investments, and long-term product vision
• Champion innovation within the product area and encourage experimentation and creative problem-solving

Product Development & Execution

• Create comprehensive product requirements documents (PRDs) that guide development teams
• Define and track OKRs for product area, ensuring team alignment on goals and metrics
• Build compelling business cases with ROI analysis for product initiatives
• Prioritize features and initiatives based on business value, customer impact, and strategic alignment
• Work with Engineering leadership to ensure product development teams are working effectively
• Facilitate effective roadmap discussions with senior stakeholders and create company-wide transparency

Customer & Market Insights

• Champion customer-centric approaches and establish feedback loops with customers and stakeholders
• Actively gather customer insights through interviews, surveys, and data analysis
• Maintain deep understanding of differentiation and value proposition versus key competitors
• Develop strong understanding of market, social, and technology trends
• Conduct competitive analysis to identify threats and opportunities within product domain

Go-to-Market & Collaboration

• Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams on product launches and positioning
• Partner with Marketing to develop positioning, messaging, and sales enablement materials
• Support sales enablement with product knowledge and customer insights
• Measure and report on launch success and product adoption
• Work closely with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to drive alignment and achieve product goals

Data & Analytics

• Use product analytics tools effectively to measure success and inform decisions
• Leverage data-driven insights to monitor performance, identify trends, and gain insights into product usage
• Demonstrate strong proficiency in user research methodologies including interviews, surveys, and usability testing

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
• 5-7 years of Software Product Management or related experience with both cloud and on-premise applications
• Proven success in developing software product roadmaps and executing product launches
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies (Kanban, Scrum)

Preferred Qualifications

• Software development experience
• Experience in RFID, IoT, or hardware-integrated software products
• Experience working in healthcare, print management, or enterprise security verticals

• Achieve roadmap delivery targets (>80%) with high-quality outcomes
• Drive measurable improvements in product adoption and customer satisfaction
• Deliver products that meet or exceed revenue and profitability goals
• Maintain strong cross-functional relationships and stakeholder satisfaction
• Successfully launch products on schedule with strong market reception
