Job Description

Our client, a leading global manufacturer, is seeking a Quality Assurance IT Lead to oversee the end-to-end testing function across enterprise-scale projects and programs focused on an ongoing SAP upgrade/migration. This contract role offers the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional global teams and influence quality standards across diverse systems, including web technologies, SAP, and enterprise IT platforms. Please note: this is an onsite role in Grand Rapids, MI, there is NO OPTION to work remote for this position

This is more than just a QA role it's a chance to lead Quality initiatives that directly impact large-scale digital transformation projects.

You'll drive test strategy, lead test execution, and shape testing standards within both Agile and Waterfall delivery environments.

Responsibilities:

Own the delivery of the testing phase across large IT projects and programs
Ensure all testing deliverables meet established standards, quality expectations, and stakeholder requirements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop test strategies, plans, scenarios, and cases
Lead test execution across multiple project teams; track and report daily progress
Manage the full bug lifecycle, proactively resolving issues and maintaining momentum
Create test dashboards and reporting metrics to provide clear insight into progress and risks
Partner with Automation Engineers to align manual testing with automation initiatives
Coach teams on QA best practices, Agile/Waterfall methodologies, and CI/CD principles
Continuously improve testing frameworks, standards, and tools
Advocate for a quality-first mindset across the IT and business landscape
