Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced SolarOperations & Logistics Manager to oversee end-to-end warehouse operations, inventory management, procurement, and logistics in support of solar construction and energy projects. This hands-on role is responsible for sourcing materials, managing inventory, coordinating deliveries and pickups, and ensuring operational efficiency across the supply chain. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in warehouse operations and procurement, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams to support project timelines and business objectives.

Primary Responsibilities

Operations & Warehouse Management

  • Manage, oversee, and actively participate in daily warehouse operations, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping.

  • Maintain accurate inventory levels through cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation.

  • Ensure warehouse organization, cleanliness, and compliance with safety procedures, company policies, and quality standards.

  • Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) safely and efficiently.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to inventory discrepancies, logistics, or warehouse processes.

  • Train and support junior staff and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Procurement & Vendor Management

  • Source and procure materials for solar construction projects, including PV modules, inverters, electrical balance-of-system (BOS) components, wiring, and racking systems.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure quality, competitive pricing, and reliable delivery.

  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to support cost-control initiatives.

  • Forecast material needs and coordinate procurement schedules aligned with project timelines.

Logistics & Supply Chain Coordination

  • Coordinate and execute deliveries, parts pickups, and transportation logistics to ensure timely and efficient material flow.

  • Collaborate closely with procurement, logistics, and service teams to quote and fulfill material and parts needs.

  • Manage storage and material handling to optimize space, prevent damage, and ensure accessibility.

  • Support construction teams by ensuring materials are available when and where needed to avoid project delays.

  • Deliver company vehicles, including IGS semi-tractor, to customers as required.

Inventory & Systems Management

  • Maintain accurate records using ERP/WMS systems.

  • Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.

  • Ensure proper documentation and tracking of all incoming and outgoing materials.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of supply chain, logistics, and procurement best practices.

  • Experience with ERP systems and inventory management software.

  • Proven ability to manage vendor relationships and negotiate effectively.

  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.

  • Understanding of solar construction materials and electrical systems preferred.

Minimum Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • 3+ years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, procurement, or inventory management (solar, renewable energy, or construction experience preferred).

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate company delivery vehicles.

  • CDL preferred for delivery of IGS semi-tractor.

  • Forklift certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically active environment.

Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Unfortunately, a current or future need for sponsorship is not supported or available for this position.

Salary Range:

$72,420.00 - $115,870.00

*This range reflects base pay only. Incentive earnings, like commissions or bonuses, are not included.

This role is also eligible for an annual incentive plan based on company performance.
