Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PMHours: 40 hours/week guaranteedWeekend: Every Saturday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PMCall: One weekday night per week with a 30-minute response requirement.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Temporary Cardiac & Vascular Sonographer to perform adult cardiac and peripheral vascular ultrasound examinations in a regional referral healthcare setting.
Responsibilities:
- Perform adult transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE), including studies with and without Definity contrast.
- Assist with TEE and stress echocardiography procedures.
- Perform venous, carotid, arterial, reflux, ABI, and vein mapping studies.
- Assist physicians with specialized diagnostic procedures and ultrasound-guided interventions.
- Perform IV insertion for contrast administration.
- Obtain high-quality diagnostic images and ensure complete documentation.
- Use MediTech EMR and Philips PACS.
- Maintain patient safety and follow department protocols.
- Clean and maintain ultrasound equipment between patients.
- Participate in the required Saturday and weekday call schedule.
Requirements:
- RDCS through ARDMS or RCS through CCI with Vascular registration – Required.
- Active AHA BLS certification – Required.
- 2+ years of cardiac and vascular sonography experience – Required
- Experience with adult TTE, TEE assistance, stress echo, and peripheral vascular studies.
- Independent IV insertion and Definity contrast experience.
- Experience with MediTech EMR.
- Ability to meet the 30-minute call response requirement.
