Job Description
Responsible for sonography functions, providing patient care, and assisting with medical obstetric ultrasounds at Prestonwood Pregnancy Center - Southwest ("PPC - SW")
Responsibilities:
- Work with clinic staff and volunteers to coordinate flow of patients
- Perform limited medical screening and pregnancy tests as delegated by a Registered Nurse ("RN")
- Perform limited medical obstetric ultrasounds in accordance with RN delegated orders
- Complete initial patient assessments as delegated by a RN
- Assist with patient/family education and provide instructions to patients as directed
- Maintain patient documentation according to clinic protocol,
- Document and report test results
- Assist with follow up of patient's medical conditions and test results
- Collect and run lab tests as delegated by a RN
- Demonstrate safe use of equipment related to patient care
- Maintain infection control measures with all patient contact
- May drive the mobile sonogram unit
- Other duties as assigned.
