This position is responsible for sorting, identifying, and processing scrap materials while supporting daily yard operations in a fast-paced outdoor environment.The ideal candidate is safety-minded, enjoys hands-on work, and is comfortable working outdoors while helping maintain an organized and efficient scrap yard.Required Experience & Skills Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the shift Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions Basic knowledge of metals and scrap materials, or willingness to learn Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately identify materials Dependable attendance and strong work ethic Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a teamEssential Duties & Responsibilities Sort and separate scrap materials by type, including ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals, aluminum, copper, and steel Identify materials using visual inspection, magnets, and basic hand tools Assist with loading and unloading customer and company vehicles Safely operate hand tools and basic yard equipment Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment Follow all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and operating procedures Communicate material quality concerns and safety issues to supervisors Assist with general labor and yard maintenance tasks as assignedPreferred Qualifications Previous experience in a scrap yard, recycling facility, or industrial environment Experience using magnets, cutting torches, shears, or other scrap processing equipment Forklift or heavy equipment experience is a plus Familiarity with industrial safety practicesPhysical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs regularly Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, and repetitive physical activity throughout the shift Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions year-round Comfortable working around heavy materials, industrial equipment, and moving vehicles while wearing required PPEWork Environment Outdoor industrial scrap yard and recycling facility Exposure to varying weather conditions, industrial equipment, noise, dust, and heavy materials Fast-paced environment focused on safety, teamwork, and productivity Physically active position requiring continuous movement throughout the workdayWhy You'll Want This Opportunity Stable Monday Friday first-shift schedule Long-term temp-to-hire opportunity Opportunity to build experience in the recycling and industrial materials industry Team-oriented workplace with opportunities for advancement Consistent full-time hours with a respected local employerReady to Apply?Apply today for immediate consideration or call/text 918-582-0522 for more information.You can also apply in person at:Stand-By Personnel1531 E. 2nd St.Tulsa, OK 74120Monday Friday | 8 AM 4 PM
