Job Description
Sous Chef (Pastry Experience Preferred)
We are seeking a talented Sous Chef with strong pastry experience to join our culinary team. This is a hands-on leadership role for a motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-quality kitchen environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations, including prep, service, and staff supervision.
- Lead pastry production, including breads, desserts, and specialty items, ensuring consistency and creativity.
- Uphold food quality, presentation, and safety standards.
- Assist in menu development and seasonal specials.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff.
- Help manage inventory, ordering, and cost controls.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience as a Sous Chef or strong line cook experience with growth potential.
- Professional pastry and baking experience required.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Culinary degree or certification preferred, but not required.
