Responsibilities

Develop and implement detailed test plans and test cases specific to accounting software and processes.
Execute various testing types including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
Identify, document, and track defects, collaborating with development teams for timely resolution.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements through rigorous testing procedures.
Analyze testing results to provide actionable insights and recommendations for process improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, accountants, and project managers to ensure seamless test integration.
Maintain and update testing documentation to reflect current processes and system changes.
Assist in the automation of repetitive testing tasks to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements

Proven experience in software testing within the accounting or financial services industry.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulatory standards impacting software systems.
Proficiency in test management tools and defect tracking systems.
Experience with automation testing frameworks and scripting languages is a plus.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Accounting, or a related field.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple testing projects simultaneously.
