POSITION SUMMARY: We are actively hiring a Spanish Linguist to work with a diverse team focusing on materials of a scientific nature. The position requires interaction with a wide variety of Government and contractor personnel in a diverse, evolving, high-profile environment.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Use native or near-native reading and writing skills and cultural expertise
• Read, triage, review, summarize and translate large amounts of data in source-language
• Conduct supplementary research from foreign language sources on equipment and identified technologies
• Provide translation and interpretation from source language into English and vice-versa

SECURITY CLEARANCE: TS/SCI clearance with polygraph

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Native or near native reading and writing skills and cultural expertise.
• Bachelor's degree
• Familiarity with tasking, data collection, legal/law and narcotics
• Ability to translate into English and target language
• Ability to transcribe into English and target language
• Experience summarizing/Gisting
• Adept at using terminology Management
• Experience editing, summarizing, translating, and triaging

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Translation Related Services
• Blogging
• Quality Control and Editing of language products
• Monitoring published, online, and broadcast media to identify relevant content
• Writing Reports
• Subject Matter Expertise in social media, collections, and writing reports

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Monday- Friday, 0800-1700. Must be able to get along in a diverse team in a fast-paced environment with high stakes outcomes. Travel- 20%

PAY RANGE: $110,000 - $160,000 a year

Ascensus Global (AGI) pay range and level are general guidelines for this job. Several factors, including education, geographic location, contract labor categories, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, or market data, determine the final salary.
