  • Leads the collection and assessment of financial statements, collateral information, legal documentation, and third-party reports to support transaction structuring.
  • Independently prepares and presents detailed loan requests and risk assessments to Credit Officers with limited guidance.
  • Conducts advanced borrower, industry, and market analyses to identify emerging risks and recommend risk mitigation strategies.
  • Monitors covenant compliance, collateral performance, and borrower reporting; proposes corrective actions as exceptions arise.
  • Supports Asset Managers in negotiating borrower communications, including action plans, conditions, and documentation requirements.
  • Identifies deteriorating situations early and contributes to the formulation of problem-loan strategies.
  • Reviews and validates legal documentation associated with criticized actions to ensure alignment with approval terms and bank standards.
  • Tracks and resolves document exceptions; ensures accurate and timely system updates.
  • May lead special projects, process improvements, or portfolio analytics initiatives.

  • Participates in civic, community, and industry activities as needed.
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • May provide ongoing guidance and task direction to junior-level PMs but does not have full supervisory accountability.
  • May serve as a team lead on complex underwriting assignments.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 5+ years of credit analysis, underwriting, or workout experience with progressively increasing responsibility.
  • Demonstrated experience underwriting moderately complex to complex criticized or distressed commercial relationships.
  • Strong understanding of commercial lending, legal documentation, financial analysis, and regulatory expectations.
  • Advanced ability to interpret financial statements, cash-flow performance, and collateral structures.
  • Strong ability to present complex analyses and recommendations.
  • Strong problem-solving and risk assessment skills.

ESSENTIAL MENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to travel if required to perform the essential job functions
  • Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines
  • Ability to operate related equipment to perform the essential job functions
  • Ability to read and interpret a document if required to perform the essential job functions
  • Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 10 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions.
