• EducationRequirements: Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (or equivalent)
• CertificationsRequirements: Valid Special Education teaching certification/credential required for employment (Michigan-specific certification preferred/required)
• ExperienceRequirements: Minimum 1 year of Special Education Teacher experience; experience developing individualized lesson plans/curricula and supporting students with special needs

JobResponsibilities:

• Deliver special education instruction aligned to IEP goals, including individualized lesson planning and differentiated supports for students with disabilities.
• Implement behavior management strategies and support students with autism and other special needs using consistent, student-centered approaches.
• Collaborate with parents, classroom staff, and multidisciplinary teams to support student growth, care plans, and communication.
• Monitor, document, and adjust instruction based on student progress and needs; maintain required compliance processes associated with special education.
• Maintain a safe, structured classroom environment and apply effective teaching and classroom management practices throughout the school day.
