• EducationRequirements: Master’s degree (MA) in Special Education or related field; or equivalent
• CertificationsRequirements: Valid Special Education teaching license (moderate) for Moderate/Severe populations
• ExperienceRequirements: Minimum 1 year of experience as a Special Education Teacher; experience supporting moderate and severe students; grades 1–8
• OtherRequirements: School-based experience preferred; ability to work Days and support a 37.5 hours per week schedule; open to all classroom types and behaviors; experience/interest in supporting ESY and NSY; willingness to commute up to 40 minutes (Belchertown, MA 01007 area); demonstrated professionalism and willingness to collaborate to support student success; participate in prescreen questions including professional background, motivation for change, current staffing experience (Soliant currently), and workload/overwork concerns; must be able to work with 1st–8th grade and any related classroom settings

JobResponsibilities:

• Create and implement special education instruction and supports for students with moderate and/or severe needs in an ES/NSY setting
• Adapt classroom instruction for students in grades 1–8, managing learning goals and supports based on individual needs
• Collaborate with school teams to develop and maintain appropriate educational programming; support development/implementation of student programming (including ABA-informed approaches as applicable)
• Provide behavior-informed strategies and supports in the classroom; support students across a range of behaviors
• Maintain required documentation and communicate effectively with stakeholders (students, families, and school staff)
