Job Description

Special Education Teacher (LBS1) – Serving Students in the Mundelein / Vernon Hills Region.

Contract: 2025–2026 school year | 37.5–40 hrs/week | Follows school calendar.

Competitive weekly pay: Up to $2,200 per week.

What You’ll Do:

Teach and support students with diverse learning needs in a structured and caring environment.
Develop and implement IEPs and engaging, adaptive lesson plans.
Collaborate with general education staff, families, and support professionals.
Maintain compliance and documentation with care and attention to detail.
Create a positive classroom atmosphere where every student can thrive.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field.
Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 Endorsement.
Experience with IEPs, case management, and special education teaching preferred.
Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
Ability to perform essential physical tasks of teaching (standing, walking, lifting up to 25–40 lbs, reading and speaking clearly).
