Job Description

St. Simon the Apostle School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our faith-filled learning community. The ideal candidate is committed to supporting diverse learners while upholding the mission and values of Catholic education. Position Overview The Special Education Teacher will collaborate with classroom teachers, administrators, and families to support students with identified learning needs through individualized instruction, accommodations, and progress monitoring. Responsibilities: Provide specialized instruction and support for students with learning differences Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) and accommodation plans Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusion and differentiation Collect and analyze student data to inform instruction and interventions Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress Participate in team meetings, professional development, and school activities Support the mission and Catholic identity of St. Simon the Apostle School Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field Valid Indiana teaching license (or ability to obtain) Experience working with elementary and/or middle school students preferred Strong collaboration and communication skills Commitment to meeting the academic, social, and emotional needs of all students Support for the philosophy and mission of Catholic education Job Posted by ApplicantPro
