Job Description

Description: We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support students in a Behavior & Emotional classroom at an elementary school in Colorado Springs, CO.

Position Details:

Position: Special Education Teacher Behavior & Emotional
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: End of the 2026 2027 school year
Schedule: 37.5 hours per week
Caseload: To be determined
License Required: Valid Colorado Special Education teaching license/credential

Responsibilities:

Provide specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning and behavioral needs.
Develop and implement individualized instruction and educational strategies.
Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and school leadership.
Monitor student progress and maintain appropriate documentation.
Support a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
Implement behavior support strategies as appropriate.

Qualifications:

Valid Colorado Special Education teaching license/credential.
Experience working with students with behavioral and emotional needs preferred.
Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.
Commitment to supporting student academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development.
