Resource K 5 Special Education TeacherLocation: Moncks Corner, South CarolinaPay: $35-$55/hour & dependent on experienceBirch Agency is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Resource K 5 Special Education Teacher to support elementary students in Moncks Corner, SC. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing individualized instruction and academic support to students with diverse learning needs.Position OverviewThe Resource Special Education Teacher will work with students in grades K 5 in a resource setting, collaborating with general education teachers, families, and support staff to ensure student success. The ideal candidate is student-centered, organized, and passionate about inclusive education.Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction and academic interventions to K 5 students in a resource setting
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and school staff
- Track and document student progress and maintain accurate records
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student performance
- Ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid South Carolina Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility)
- Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
- Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills
