- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) based on students' unique needs.
- Deliver differentiated instruction using evidence-based teaching strategies.
- Adapt curriculum, instructional methods, and assessments to support diverse learners.
- Implement positive behavior interventions and classroom management strategies.
- Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation and compliance records.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families.
- Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and professional development activities.
- Foster a structured, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that promotes academic achievement, independence, and social-emotional growth.
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field preferred.
- Active South Carolina Special Education certification required or eligibility to obtain certification.
- Experience working with students with autism, behavioral needs, intellectual disabilities, emotional disabilities, or hearing impairments preferred.
- Knowledge of IEP development, special education compliance, differentiated instruction, and behavior management practices.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- School-based settings serving students across various grade levels.
