Job Position: Special Education Teacher

Location: Mount Clemens, MI 48043

Pay Rate:Starting at $50/hour (W2)

Description:

Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher for the 20262027 school year. This is a full-time, in-person position supporting students with significant behavioral needs in a structured and supportive educational environment. The ideal candidate will provide individualized instruction, implement behavior intervention strategies, collaborate with educational teams and families, and foster academic, social, and emotional growth for students with diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide individualized instruction aligned with IEP goals
Implement and monitor FBAs and BIPs with fidelity
Use evidence-based behavioral strategies to support student success
Foster a safe, structured, and positive classroom environment
Collaborate with support staff, therapists, and families
Track and report student progress regularly

Qualifications:

Valid Teaching License
Appropriate Endorsement
Experience working with students with behavioral challenges preferred
Strong classroom management and de-escalation skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
