Job Position: Special Education TeacherLocation: Grand Rapids, MI 49525Pay Rate: $50.00/hrPosition Overview:Birch Agency is seeking a passionate Special Education Teacher to support students with a variety of educational needs. The ideal candidate will deliver specialized instruction, collaborate with staff and families, contribute to student support planning, and promote a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages academic and personal success.Required Qualifications:
- Educator's License
- Appropriate Endorsement specific to Special Education
- Provide individualized and small-group instruction aligned with student IEP goals
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP accommodations and modifications
- Support students with diverse learning, behavioral, and communication needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
- Utilize effective classroom management and instructional strategies
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse student needs
