This full-time, in-person opportunity is ideal for educators who are passionate about creating individualized learning experiences and helping students with Autism and Cognitive Disabilities achieve meaningful academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth.Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction to 3rd and 4th grade students with Autism and Cognitive Disabilities in a center-based classroom setting.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with student goals and district requirements.
- Differentiate instruction to meet individual learning, communication, behavioral, and sensory needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, support staff, and families to promote student success.
- Collect and maintain accurate data on student progress toward IEP goals and objectives.
- Implement positive behavior support strategies and create a structured, inclusive learning environment.
- Participate in IEP meetings, team collaboration meetings, and professional development activities.
- Foster student independence, social skills, self-advocacy, and functional life skills.
- Valid Minnesota Special Education Teaching License or eligibility for Minnesota licensure.
- Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Cognitive Disabilities preferred.
- Knowledge of special education laws, IEP development, and compliance requirements.
- Strong classroom management and behavior intervention skills.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities.
