Location: Sacramento, CA
Compensation
- Full-Time -205-day work year
- $65,000-$85,000 annually (DOE and credential)

About the Role
Capitol Academy and Capitol Elementary are respected Non-Public Schools (NPS) serving students with diverse learning, behavioral, and social-emotional needs. We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our collaborative, student-centered team.
We partner with local districts to provide individualized academic, behavioral, and socialemotional support in small class settings where teachers truly make an impact.

What You'll Do
- Provide individualized instruction aligned with each student's IEP
- Manage classroom aides and collaborate with related service providers
- Create an engaging, inclusive learning environment
- Track and report student progress toward academic and behavioral goals
- Communicate regularly with families and district partners
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions

Requirements / Qualifications
- Valid California Education Specialist Credential (Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Severe)
- Experience supporting students with autism and other developmental differences - preferred
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Strong classroom management and data collection abilities
- CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)
- A passion for teaching and a heart for helping students succeed
