Special Education Teacher (K-8) – $8,000 Sign-On Bonus
Location: Brighton, CO and Aurora, COSalary Range: $61,981 – $67,706 (commensurate with education and experience)Bonus: $5,000 -$8,000 sign-on bonus
About the Role
Are you passionate about helping every child reach their full potential?We’re seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher (SPED) to provide individualized support and instruction to K-8 students with diverse learning needs. This role is ideal for a compassionate educator who thrives in collaborative, student-focused environments and wants to make a lasting impact.
What You’ll Do
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s strengths and needs.
Deliver specially designed instruction in inclusion, resource, and pullout settings.
Track and report student progress toward IEP goals; adjust instruction and interventions as needed.
Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to ensure inclusive learning experiences.
Conduct assessments and participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary team discussions.
Use data and digital tracking tools to monitor student growth and drive instructional decisions.
Participate in professional development focused on special education best practices, compliance, and classroom strategies.
Maintain all required records and documentation in accordance with state and district special education regulations.
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (Master’s preferred).
Valid Colorado teaching license with a Special Education endorsement (or eligibility to obtain).
Strong knowledge of IEP development, progress monitoring, and behavior supports.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, and staff.
Experience working with at-risk, diverse, or special needs populations preferred.
