Location: Georgetown, SCSalary: $42.00 USD Hourly - $48.00 USD HourlyDescription: Our client is currently seeking a Special Education Teacher - Elementary School!

Special Education Teacher (Early Childhood / Elementary)

Assignment: 2nd–3rd Grade 

Contract Term: 7/20/26 – 4/25/27

Position Summary This role provides special education services in alignment with applicable federal, state, and local guidelines. Responsibilities may include case management; mentoring; developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs); supervising and scheduling support staff; participating in problem‑solving teams; and creating behavior intervention plans. The position also involves facilitating IEP meetings and ensuring compliance with all required documentation standards.

Individuals hired for this role may be assigned to related functions such as Process Coordinator, Academic Evaluator, Case Manager, or Teacher of Record, depending on organizational needs. These roles share the same minimum qualifications and expectations. Work modality (in‑person, hybrid, or virtual) is determined by client and company requirements.

Supervision May include oversight of paraeducators, new teachers, or other assigned personnel.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

  • Holds or is eligible for a teaching license with the appropriate endorsement.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of subject content, specialized curriculum, and individualized instructional methods.

  • Proficiency with multimedia tools and assistive technology to support diverse learners.

  • Ability to build effective working relationships with students, colleagues, administrators, and families.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills and effective interpersonal skills.

Position Responsibilities

  • Prepare required written materials, including progress reports, IEPs, notices, and related documentation.

  • Communicate clearly and professionally in all written and verbal interactions.

  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs to ensure students receive a free and appropriate public education.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to support timely, high‑quality services.

  • Complete all required service documentation in accordance with organizational and client policies.

  • Maintain accurate records for service delivery and billing as required.

  • Apply current research and best practices to instructional planning and decision‑making.

  • Provide guidance and supervision to assigned personnel in accordance with applicable regulations and company policies.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
