Job Description

Jump Ahead Pediatrics is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team for a temporary, full-time, school-based assignment near Somerset, New Jersey. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ learning journeys while gaining valuable experience in a supportive educational environment.

Position Details

Setting: School-Based Services (Private School)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:15 AM – 3:15 PM
Compensation: Excellent, paid for the full school day
Placement: Cohort Model — no travel required
Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
Position Length: Temporary, February through June 2026

Responsibilities

Design and implement weekly lesson plans aligned with student needs
Collaborate with general education teachers to support student learning and analyze performance data
Create a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning
Participate in curriculum development and professional learning communities
Build strong relationships with students and families, provide regular communication on progress, and actively participate in school events

Requirements

High School English Certification (required)
30 English Credits
Special Education Certification (preferred)
