Make a Difference Every Day
As a Special Education Teacher (LBS1), you'll play a critical role in helping students achieve academic, social, and emotional success. You'll work closely with school teams, families, and support staff to create inclusive learning environments where every student has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized educational programs (IEPs)
- Provide specialized instruction tailored to students' unique learning needs
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
- Foster a supportive and engaging classroom environment that promotes student growth
Student Population

Qualifications
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement (or eligibility to obtain)
