Job Description

Special Education Teacher

Location: Yuba City, CAPay Rate: Competitive weekly pay based on experience—up to $70/hr

Navra Education is seeking a passionate Special Education Teacher for a full-time school-based opportunity near Yuba City for the 2026–2027 school year.

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized instruction based on students’ individual learning needs
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, service providers, and families
  • Track student progress and adjust instructional strategies
  • Lead and participate in IEP meetings
  • Implement accommodations, modifications, and positive behavior supports
  • Maintain compliance with IDEA and California special education regulations

Position Details

  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday
  • Setting: School-based contract with renewal potential
  • Grade Levels: Elementary RSP 
  • Assignment: Placement and caseload discussed during the interview
  • School Year: 2026–2027

Qualifications

  • Active California Education Specialist Credential
  • Special education classroom experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of IEP development and compliance
  • Collaborative, student-centered approach
