Special Education Teacher 2026–2027 School Year | Gurnee, IL | Up to $60/hour Ampersand Therapy is hiring a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a full-time position for the upcoming 2026–2027 school year in Gurnee, IL. 

Position Details

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday Start Date: August 2026Location: Woodland School DistrictRole Type: Special Education Teacher, Self-Contained ClassroomRole Details: Elementary School K-2nd gradeService Area: Instructional support, IEP collaboration, progress monitoring

Your Key Responsibilities

• Provide academic support to students with IEPs in a resource setting

• Develop and implement instructional strategies tailored to individual learning goals

• Attend IEP meetings and collaborate with school teams

• Maintain timely and accurate documentation of student progress

• Participate in staff meetings and school-wide initiatives

• Valid Illinois PEL with LBS1 endorsement

• Fingerprinting and background check required before start

• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

• Passion for inclusive education and student-centered practices
