Job Description
Position OverviewA nationwide provider of comprehensive school-based therapy services is seeking a Full-Time SPED Teacher to support a school district in Surprise, AZ. In this role, you will provide specialized academic and behavioral support to students with disabilities in a K–2 Special Teaching Classroom. Your work will directly impact students and their families by helping create a supportive and effective learning environment that promotes student growth and success.
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized and small-group instruction based on student needs and IEP goals
- Implement accommodations and modifications to support student learning
- Develop, manage, and maintain Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation and service records
- Support students with behavioral, social, and academic needs in the classroom setting
- Collaborate with families, school staff, and related service providers
- Participate in IEP meetings, case management, and multidisciplinary team collaboration
- Ensure compliance with special education regulations and district guidelines
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid Arizona Special Education Teaching Credential (or eligibility)
- Minimum one (1) year of experience
- Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably grades K–2
- Knowledge of IEP development, compliance, and classroom accommodations
- Familiarity with SEIS or similar documentation systems preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Compensation & Benefits
- $29.00 - $54.00 per hour (based on experience and location) + Sign-on Bonus
