Help Students Reach Their Potential
TX-STAR Speech Language Services collaborates with school districts across Texas to connect students with specialized instruction and educational support. We are currently hiring Certified Special Education Teachers for campus-based opportunities in the Austin area.

Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Special Education Teacher, you will provide targeted instruction, manage student plans, and work closely with families and school teams to create effective learning opportunities.
In this role, you will:
Deliver individualized and small-group instruction based on student abilities, goals, and learning needs
Create, manage, and carry out Individualized Education Programs within established timelines
Adapt lessons, assignments, assessments, and instructional materials to increase student access and engagement
Review academic data and classroom performance to determine when instructional changes are needed
Establish a structured and supportive classroom environment that promotes learning and independence
Address students’ academic, behavioral, social, and emotional development
Use assistive technology, visual resources, and specialized instructional tools when appropriate
Partner with general education teachers, related-service professionals, administrators, and families
Attend ARD and IEP meetings and provide input regarding student progress, services, and measurable goals
Complete progress monitoring, service documentation, and other required special education records accurately and promptly
Qualifications for This Position
Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Education, or another relevant field
Valid Texas certification in Special Education
Working knowledge of IEP development, differentiated instruction, and special education requirements
Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with families, educators, administrators, and support providers
Strong classroom management, planning, documentation, and organizational abilities
Previous experience serving students in a school-based special education program is preferred
Master’s degree is a plus
Work Setting and Scheduling Options

Positions may serve students from prekindergarten through high school
