Job Requirements

  • Education Requirements: Valid SPED license
  • Certifications Requirements: Must hold SPED certification/license
  • Experience Requirements: Minimum 1 year of experience in special education, including working with ASD and cognitively delayed students
  • Other Requirements: Ability to work full-time (8:15 AM – 3:22 PM), experience with inclusion classrooms for grades 3-5, aptitude for working with diverse learners, background check clearance, and must be comfortable managing cognitively delayed and ASD student needs

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Manage inclusive classroom environments for grades 3-5, primarily working with students with ASD and cognitive delays.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure student success.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies accordingly.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and comply with all district and state regulations.
