For over 25 years, National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions) has specialized in connecting experienced workers (ages 55+) with full-time and part-time job opportunities that support the critical missions of Federal Agencies across the United States. NEW Solutions connects experienced workers (ages 55+) with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). These experienced professionals provide administrative, scientific, technical, and other professional skills that support to the Bureau of Land Management through the Experienced Services Program (ESP). This position supports the Bureau of Land Management Nevada State Office. With the exception of attending meetings, all other work can be performed remotely. BLM ESP positions are meant to provide temporary, project-based support. This position is currently funded for an estimate of 608 hours. Positions listed here do not guarantee employment for any definite period. Enrollment in the Experienced Worker Programs administered by NEW Solutions is temporary. The enrollment relationship between NEW Solutions and the Enrollee is an ?at-will? relationship. This means that an Enrollee is free to terminate enrollment at any time during the enrollment period, and NEW Solutions and the Agency have the right to terminate the relationship with the Enrollee. PLEASE NOTE: An ?Enrollee? is not a federal employee, nor an employee of NEW Solutions. An ?Enrollee? is a participant in a grant program established through a Cooperative Agreement funded by the agency and administered by NEW Solutions. Qualifications: Minimum of 6 year(s) of experience OR BA/BS Degree Detailed understanding of Nevada's Special Legislation Program Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Teams, MS SharePoint Technology for recording and transcribing meetings. Duties: Prepare for and attend random Special Legislation Senior Level meetings throughout the year. Two multi-day meetings and up to 10 other meetings ranging in length from 1 to 8 hours. Provide advice to senior leaders of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), US Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS), National Park Service (NPS), US Forest Service (FS), Bureau of Reclamation (BOR), the State of Nevada, and local governments and produce high quality meeting notes. Meeting Preparation 25% Attend Meetings 50% Prepare Meeting Notes 25% Other: Yearly training required by BLM Travel Requirements: Travel to 2 meetings per year. Overnight travel: Twice per year for 3-4 days per trip. Air travel anticipated: Twice per year Physical requirements: Physical activities normally associated with office work and preparing rooms for meetings are the physical requirements for the position.
