Specialist, Application Tester - ServiceNow
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS
Create and execute comprehensive test cases to ensure all functionalities meet business needs.
Identify and report defects with clear, concise documentation.
Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Tricentis Tosca.
Execute automated test suites, analyze results, and report any failures.
Continuously enhance and optimize test scripts for efficiency and maintainability.
Conduct API testing using Postman to validate data exchanges and integrations.
Write API test scripts to verify the functionality, performance, and security of APIs.
Collaborate with developers to resolve API-related issues.
Perform regression testing to ensure that new features or updates do not negatively impact existing functionalities.
Maintain a regression test suite and automate recurring regression tests where applicable.
Document test cases, test results, and any issues discovered during testing.
Create and maintain test plans and test strategy documentation.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and business analysts to ensure alignment on testing priorities and requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
5 years of proven experience in functional testing of web applications, understanding business pro-cesses, and translating them into test cases.
Proficiency in test automation using Tricentis Tosca and scripting languages (e.g.,JavaScript).
Excellent experience in API testing with tools like Postman, understanding RESTful APIs and JSON.
Knowledge of software testing methodologies, test management tools, and defect tracking systems.
Knowledge of the ServiceNow platform from a tester perspective
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
Familiarity with agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum) is a plus.
