Specimen Technician

Pride Health is hiring a Specimen Technicianto support our client’s medical facility, which is based in Denver CO 80209.

This is a Contract job with a possible extension opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!Location: Denver CO 80209

Schedule: Third Shift Mountain Time 8:00pm to 4:30am Position is Monday night through Friday night with a rotating Saturday once every 3 weeks. (40hours/week)

Pay Rate: $19.68 - 22.64/hour (Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.) The rate is based on years of DIRECT EXPERIENCE as listed in the resumeRoles & Responsibilities:

• Perform duties in a high-volume production environment while meeting established productivity, quality, and turnaround-time standards.
• Accurately enter data at a rate of approximately 6,000 alphanumeric keystrokes per hour.
• Work safely in a biohazard environment, following all safety, compliance, and infection-control procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area.
• Sit or stand for extended periods as required by operational needs.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with team members and staff at all organizational levels.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills that contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Adhere to organizational core values, policies, and procedures.
• Show flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Required Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent REQUIRED

Work Experience:

• No prior experience required; previous laboratory or production-environment experience is preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency required.
• Knowledge of laboratory testing and/or specimen processing preferred.
• Medical background preferred, including familiarity with medical terminology used in a clinical laboratory setting.
• Prior hospital laboratory experience is a plus but not required.
