Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)Location: Port St. Lucie, FL 34986 & 34987Schedule:35 hours per week, school-basedEmployment Type: ContractContract Dates:August 10, 2026 May 28, 2027Pay Rate: Starting at $50/hour (dependent on experience)Position OverviewBirch Agency is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide services in Port St. Lucie, Florida for the 2026 2027 school year.This school-based opportunity offers a 35-hour work week split between two nearby campuses. The position includes approximately 20 hours per week supporting students in a Kindergarten through 8th-grade school setting, and 15 hours per week serving students in a college-preparatory high school environment. This assignment provides the opportunity to work with students across a wide range of ages and communication needs while collaborating with supportive educational teams.Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students with communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with student IEP goals.
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services in individual and small-group settings.
- Address articulation, language, fluency, voice, pragmatics, and other communication needs.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and service logs.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers to support student success.
- Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility meetings, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Utilize evidence-based intervention strategies to improve students' communication skills and educational outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal special education regulations.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program required.
- Active Florida Speech-Language Pathologist license required.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred (Clinical Fellows may be considered depending on district needs).
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to effectively manage a caseload across multiple grade levels.
- Approximately 20 hours per week serving students in a Kindergarten through 8th-grade school setting.
- Approximately 15 hours per week serving students in a college-preparatory high school setting.
- Collaborative multidisciplinary teams including educators, administrators, school psychologists, occupational therapists, and other related service providers.
